Fika is a ten to thirty minute break that takes place twice a day, observed all throughout Sweden. The first Fika of the day takes place at around 10:00 am, while the second one is usually around 3:00 pm. A typical Fika includes coffee and cakes, cinnamon buns, cookies, pastries or just about any other sweet treat. Fika is even observed at work and school, which is much appreciated by workers and students.
